My family and I have always owned Nissans (4 in total). We wanted to venture out with the purchase of our second car, and get a 2026 Hyundai Kona. We found a listening we liked on auto trader and were talking to the Bank St Hyundai (sales rep was Leslie) about coming in to make this purchase. We explained that we live out of town, have 2 small children, and I have a very sick elderly parent in long term care. Earliest we could come was on Saturday. We stayed in touch leading up to our Saturday visit, confirming we’d be coming for the car and paying cash, and when we arrived, we’d been informed that the car had been sold, and we’d be looking at 2-4 weeks wait for a new one. On top of that, Bank St Hyundai went 2k over the amount on the auto trader listing. We told them we had the exact cash quoted on the listing to spend, and they were 100% unwilling to adjust or meet us in our range. Eli, one of the managers at the end rather boldly asked us, “so what’s next, where are you going to go now.” Like it was his business or we had no other options. Awful experience, huge waste of time, and very discouraging. They made sure to remind us 2-3 times while we were there that they’d sold 4 of the car we wanted today, and it made us feel like our business didn’t matter. Right after this happened, we went straight to Diwlari Hyundai on Hunt Club. We were greeted by Reggie and Moustafa, met with warmth, and immediately seen. We explained what happened at Bank St and within 5 minutes of arriving they got us a deal in our budget with winter tires, and a 10 day turn around. We were in and out of Diwlari Hyundai on Hunt Club in under 1.5 hours. They gave us add ons like leather and paint protection, to make sure we felt supported and valued. Navid walked us through the warranty options and sale process with warmth, clarity, and great efficiency. This was the most pleasant and fast car purchasing experience we’ve ever had. What an awesome experience I had at Hyundai on Hunt Club in Ottawa, not my first Hyundai, but my first time dealing with this dealership. Where do I start, the Sales team is fantastic, my salesman Reggie, is top notch, can’t say enough about our conversations, made the entire experience personal and relatable, very knowledgeable on the units. Went over the top for any question or request. I can’t say enough about this dealership. Loved all the little surprises thrown in that I wasn’t expecting, I had my son with me and he even was given a little gift of appreciation. Great sales team. I had the pleasure of also dealing through texts with the sales Manager Moustapha and can’t say enough about his persistence to get me answers and his quick responses, getting back to me in a timely manner both during his working hours and replying even when he just left the dealership. All the teams participation was greatly appreciated. Made it hard to drive away! lol. I also had brought my current vehicle in for service as I had a few issues while driving the 8 hr trip, I didn’t have an appointment for the service but was graciously welcomed and even informed about an outstanding recall that was also performed at the same time. He then set up an appointment for Saturday, the 15th November. Upon arrival, he guaranteed that I would get the help I needed and immediately put my mind at ease. As I shared my concerns, he reassured me that there were professionals who would take care of everything. I left the dealership feeling much more confident. By the 18th of November, I received a call letting me know that my car would be ready for delivery on Friday. Everything was explained so thoroughly, and today I am truly the happiest person!
